Year of the Rat Tetsubin

This Year of the Rat tetsubin is modeled after the domestic fancy rat. To be born in the year of the rat in China is respected and privileged , unlike the negative association in European cultures. Like all Joyce Chen handcasted tetsubins, this one is fully enameled in the interior and fitted with a fine stainless steel mesh infuser. Year of the Rat: 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020.

Use & Care

These hand crafted tetsubin have been made with the experience of master artisans. Please rinse the interior of the tetsubin with hot water. If exterior becomes wet, please dry immediately.
